The Mix sat down with the “Come on Get Higher” singer at Cyndi Lauper’s annual Home for the Holidays concert and learned of shops that he and his band “descend upon like hawks,” books that “totally killed” him, and a restaurant that “blew his mind out of his face.” Click on to find out a bunch of other things you didn't know about Matt Nathanson!
When Matt Nathanson came to New York City to take part in Cyndi Lauper's Home For The Holidays benefit concert we asked him if he had gone to any great restaurants while he was in town. Well, not only did he go to one he loved, he said the restaurant he went to on Manhattan's Upper West Side was so good it "blew his mind out of his face!" Ok Matt, that sounds like some good eatin'.
Matt Nathanson is a laid back singer songwriter and the bands that have influenced him along the way embody that spirit. When he was asked who his favorite band is he picked an all girl acoustic group that he termed "bad ass." Acoustic music and being a bad ass aren't two things we necessarily see going together but hey, who are we to argue with him!
